Grants

Each May, 1% for the Tetons opens its grants process to local organizations with an innovative conservation project in need of seed funding.  We favor new, early stage ideas that may have challenges receiving funding from more traditional funding organizations.

Teton Raptor Center

1% for the Tetons supported the development of the “Poo-Poo screen”, a screen used to prevent wildlife entrapment in vent pipes found on vault toilets in National Parks across the country.  Teton Raptor Center has now distributed over 5,000 screens nationally.

Hole Food Rescue

1% for the Tetons supported Hole Food Rescue to develop an Edible Food Waste Diversion Plan for Teton County; with aim of increasing the reuse of food resources.  Hole Food rescue works to collect food waste from area businesses and distribute this food to local non-profits and shelters.
